Catch up

After several investigations of my life, I finally realized that I'm in still in the middle of the track while the other have gone very far in front of me. And it became worse since I had to do a litle bit slow down since I had to pass an intersection and I was not being prepared to choose one of them.

I called the intersection as specialist-generalist intersection. I had turn a litle bit to generalist after passing the intersection and I realized that I would not be able to accelerate my speed on this track. Then I decided to step backward to the intersection and turn to the opposite way, the specialist.

This week is the starting point. I have just bought some fuel to accelerate my speed. I should be able to catch up to speed in 6 months and run in front of the average within a year. Can I do that? Well, It is not a question. I must !!!

The purpose of this blog

When I created this blog, I was thinking to use it to improve my English. I have started a few topics but then suddenly I stopped updating this blog for the reasons that I didn't know why.

Today I realized that I had not enough motivation to write because this blog is not as popular as my blog in Indonesian (on wordpress.com) so there were no comments were left on this blog and it made me think that nobody read this blog. This perception unfortunately demoralized me as I don't really like to speak to myself.

Then how to make this blog popular as my other blog in my native language? That's a taugh question to answer for me. Firstly I can't recall what I exactly did to popularize my other blog so that I'm unable to copy the method over here. Secondly, I also don't have to many idea to wrote on this blog.

Ups, I got a phone call in the middle of writing this entry. I guess I lost the idea of why I wrote this entry already. It's OK, I'll publish it. Hopefully next time I can publish a better one. :D

Improving my Listening Skill

From one of my discussion with my former boss, I discovered that I was not good in listening. I tend to be impatient and interrupt what other people tried to tell me. More than that, I told them what was true than listenting of what they thought.

This habbit is not good that made me learn a litle from others. I realized this bad habbit for a while but it is not that easy to stop it. This week I decided to do something to stop this habbit. I can start from changing asking questions to other people opinion without having to tell them what my opinion is. 

Some of them went good, but some of them not. But at least I'm making a progress. I still can't make this week clean from judging others, but I can change my style of response a litle bit.

Need more to improve, but I'm not giving up yet.

New Appartment

It's been a while I didn't update this blog. It was not the beautiful Ramadhan that had hold me to do that. I was jut forgot that I had an English blog to update. Besides, I didn't update my Indonesian blog that much either.

I'm now writing this blog on my new appartment. Not really new, I've been staying here for a week or a litle bit more. There were several jobs that I had to to make it perfect such as fixing the drain and clean up all the floor since this is a new building.

All the jobs have been completed. Now it's perfect for a good living. What to do next is to fill up this apartment with all necessary furniture and equipment while also waiting for my beautiful wife and my very handsome boy to come.

Time to rest now, and play a game

The Ramadhan

It's been quite a while I didn't update this blog. This blog was intended to provide a place for me to improve my English and also to share my stories in English. However, I didn't have anything to read for a while, not only on this blog but also on the Indonesian version.

It's at the 3rd week of Ramadhan now in my first Ramadhan in Kuwait. The weather was so bad in the beginning of Ramadhan. It was really hot and the temperature was so high (above 50 degree celcius). To me, the high temperature was not that difficult, but the humidity was. 

Now it's much better. The wind is not hot anymore and also not humid. It seems that the rest of Ramadhan can be much easier.

I have just heard a good news a few days ago. But I'm still keeping this news as secret so that I don't write it here yet. However I want to make you curious of what secret I'm hiding. :D
